Yolanda was such a great friend. She was always fun to be around.

She was also very sharing and generous. Durring a time when things were really tough, she actually loaned Susan & I her only car when ours had broke down, so we could continue working. That gesture really got us out of a jam. Thats just the kind of person she was. Her strength & charecter live on in all who knew her. In alot of ways unknown to her, she set a selfless example I still take to heart daily. Most of all I remember that infectious laugh of hers. I can still hear her.

Her life was full of purpose. All of us who knew her are truly blessed.

I am so thankful She was in my life and will remember her always.

Today is your 40th birthday. I have such great memories of Birthday times with you. I remember making you Blueberry Cheesecakes for your birthdays! On your 37th Birthday I remember we all went out to T.G.I.F. for your birthday. I do have many great memories of you.

 

Yolanda was such a charactor sometimes.  She used to sing along to the Oompa Loompa song in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.  She always used to quote the maid from Troop Beverly Hills when she said, "Patches.  We don't need no stinkin patches".  and when we watched a special on self defense, the man who was narrating said, when you think someone is following you to: Say Get Away from Me like a man, that is exactly how she would say it time after time.  "get away from me like a man".  I miss her sense of humor so much.  I never even told her I thought she was funny.

We took a few trips to Seattle to see Angela. Before one of the trips we stopped at a club with Colin so he could talk shop with band members. Later that day Colin took us to the airport to catch our flight. We stopped in the bar and had a few drinks before we left. I was suppose to keep up with the time. I thought the flight time was the boarding time so we did not get to the gate until the plane was closing its door and starting to take off. When we walked up we noticed that no one was sitting in the waiting area and we could only see the flight attendent closing the door. She yelled at us, " are you the people with the child?"  We have been calling you for 20 minutes. We were very embarrassed, especially when we got on the plane and everyone was giving us dirty looks because we were holding up the plane. Thank goodness they saved the first seat for us and we din not have to walk to the back of the plane. We had a great time.

I always had a good time with Yo. No matter where we went or what we did. I could always count on her to make me laugh. She knew me better than I know myself, and more that once made me see reason and do the right thing.

Yolanda, although I never met you your light continues to shine and touch the lives of many people. The beauty and grace of your mother and daughter has blessed my soul and I know it is your heart and light shining thru giving them the strength to share you with others, touching us and helping us to live. If you see my Danielle please give her a mothers hug from me....you know the kind! Much love to your family.

You touched all of our lives, and not a day goes by that I don't think or miss you.

The world lost a special person when you left.  There is a void in all the lives you touched.
